If the scriptures of HINDU RELIGION are to be believed, the holy centres of Gangotri, Yamunotri,Badrinath and Kedarnath - collectively called the Chardham (meaning four sacred spots) - are the most sacred of all pilgrimages. Undertaking a journey to these places will not just wash away one's sins butensure release from the cycle of birth and death. The honour conferred on these places is not surprising.
For one, they are all in the icy Garhwal ranges and regarded as the most sacred of all Himalayan ranges. It is also said that heaven and earth converge in these holy spots, and to be born or die here is a boononly the very fortunate have. The Chardham must be visited from left to right -beginning with Yamunotri, going on to Gangotri, Kedarnath and culminating the journey at Badrinath.This route follows the Hindu tradition of parikrama orclockwise circumambulation.
Located in the laps of Himalayas, India's four most revered sacred places include Yamunotri, Gangotri, Sri Kedarnathji and Sri Badrinathji.

Day 1: Haridwar - Mussoorie
Morning assembly at Hotel AARTI,Haridwar. Leave for Mussoorie. Halt at Hotel Hakman, The Mall.
Departure: 10.30 Hrs.
Distance: 85 kms.
Driving Time (App.): 3 hrs.
Day 2: Mussoorie - Janaki Chatti/ Yamunotri
Mussoorie to Janaki Chatti/Yamunotri via Kempty Fall. Halt at Hotel Ganga Yamuna / GMVN Tourist Bungalow.
Departure: 06.00 Hrs.
Distance: 140 kms. + 8 kms. trekking
Driving Time (App.): 8-9 hrs.
Day 3: Janaki Chatti/ Yamunotri - Uttarkashi
Trek from Janaki Chatti to Yamunotri & Back to Hanuman Chatti. Drive to Uttarkashi, night halt at Hotel Relax.
Departure: 0600 hrs.
Distance: 6 + 14 trek*, 100 kms.
Driving Time (App.): 9-10 hrs.
Day 4: Uttarkashi - Gangotri
Uttarkashi to Gangotri. Halt at Lanka / Bhairon Ghati, GMVN Tourist Bungalow/ Hotel Relax.
Departure: 0600 hrs.
Distance: 200 kms.

Day 5: Gangotri
Bhairon Ghati to Guptkashi/Tilwara/Chadarpuri/Sayalsaur. Halt at Hotel Himalayan/ GMVN TRH, Temple Board Atithi Grih.
Departure: 0600 hrs.
Distance: 260 kms.

Day 6: Gangotri - Gaurikund - Sri Kedarnathji
To Sri Kedarnathji via Gaurikund. Halt at Sri Kedarnathji/Rambara/GMVN/Temple Board Atithi Grih.

Day 7: Sri Kedarnathji - Gaurikund - Joshimath/Gopeshwar
Departure: 0700 hrs.

Day 8: Gopeshwar/Joshimath - Auli - Sri Badrinath Ji
Visit to Auli (Own Expenses), Leave for Sri Badrinathji, Halt at Hotel/Temple Board Atithi Grih.

Day 9: Sri Badrinath Ji - Srikot/Srinagar - Kaudiyala - Deoprayag

Day 10: Nand Prayag -Srinagar/Deoprayag - Rishikesh - Haridwar
